Motel Media is a full-service production company and creative studio located in Ventura, CA specializing in music and live performance. We strive to breathe life into culture and help grow the repertoire of emerging and established artists through live events, original films, record production, promotion, and pretty much any creative avenue you can think an artist would need to amplify their public presence.

Founded in 2023 by film producer, Roman James-Mitchell and photographer, Alan Hamersky, Motel Media began its voyage through the great unknown first by helping friends and colleagues with documenting and recording their musical acts. With the idea to build a film series to showcase these talents, “SET // SETTING // LIVE” was born. Part documentary, part live show, “SET // SETTING // LIVE” encapsulates the essences of the acts it promotes, and offers an avenue for up-and-coming as well as better-known musicians to participate in stoking the flame of their musical community.

Since its inception, Motel Media has earned a reputation for being a “one stop shop” for all things production related. We are available as a creative collaborator or as a regular hired gun for whatever suits your need. Wether you’d like us to write, direct and produce a full-length music video, or just need a few hours in our cozy studio to rehearse your next hit, we’re at your service.
